Here is the game write up from the Hawks. Great game for Kinnie but once again that Bedard scores. He is going to be a stud.
ICEHAWKS WRAP UP PRESEASON WITH WIN OVER TOLEDO
Kinnie Hat Trick Propels Port Huron To Victory
TOLEDO, OH – Port Huron Icehawks newcomer Mike Kinnie earned a hat trick on Sunday to lead the Icehawks to a 5-2 exhibition win versus the Toledo Walleye at the Team Toledo Ice House.
All three of Kinnie’s goals came on the power play. In total, the Icehawks converted on four of seven power play opportunities to defeat the East Coast Hockey League team.
Port Huron landed four unanswered goals in the first two periods of play. Kinnie scored on the power play late in the first period and again in the second to give the Icehawks a 2-0 advantage. Mikael Bedard and Ian Turner also netted goals in the second stanza to make it a 4-0 game.
Toledo’s Ryan Smyth put his team on the board with less than a minute to go in the second period, but the Icehawks power play proved too much for the Walleye. Kinnie tallied his third power play goal of the night at 3:52 in the third to extend the Icehawks lead, before Evan Rankin beat Icehawks goalie Adam Russo for the 5-2 final score.
Toledo failed to score on any of their seven power play chances. In total, the Icehawks outshot the Walleye 28-21.
Goalies Larry Sterling and Russo split time in net for the Icehawks. Sterling turned away all nine shots he faced, while Russo made 10 saves on 12 shots.
The Icehawks finished preseason action with a 2-1 record. They defeated the Flint Generals 3-2 in a shootout at home on Friday and fell to the Generals 6-2 in Flint on Saturday.

Not to bad for a preseason game. Played in a pretty small rink too.

not bad for a preseason game at all.
Bought my ticket for saturday earlier today. Would expect at least a couple hundred more for the season opener saturday.
