I heard it was Gotschall that got an offer from another Jr team You may be right, that is not something I am 100% sure about. I just know the 4 goalies they selected to continue for now and that one may be heading to another team in another league.

Got a email back from Mike he said they cannot release the roster yet because it is not finalized. They may release it before or a little after the showcase tournament. Obviously we will have a good idea whose on the team once the showcase tourney starts just by knowing who played in the games. He said we are allowed to bring more players to this then a normal regular season game

I have to believe they are taking a "Broad Street Bullies" approach with this team. Remember they didnt get to draft and the only way to slow down those finesse teams is to pound them. Back that up with solid goal-tending and they could do some damage

Bell, Green, Gammage, Lewis, Pickering, Cole, Meyer and Lemirande all seem to be willing to drop the gloves from what i've looked up.

They have at least 8 kids that have NAHL experience and that will help them. Those players know what its going to take to compete at this level, and they will be able to help the other players as well. I think they will do just fine.

Some of these guys that are rookies at this level look to be our more skilled players as well, watch out for Paul Manderfield, Devin Stuermer and Kory Sosnowski, as well as Ryan Green of course.

Back that up with solid goal-tending and they could do some damage I completely agree with this train of thought! The size of some of the players amazed me at tryouts. I know they are taking more to the first showcase then will remain on the team with the roster limit imposed by the league. There is 29 players listed and more the 29 still practicing. Darrin isn't on the listed roster for goalies but is on the team so I am guessing it will all be changed as they narrow down the spots. Darrin won't report until the 20th due to getting school arranged.

Ryan Green is not a rookie he played 2 yrs in the BCHL thats tier 2 in Canada. He is a solid play and will have a physical presence on the ice. For the rookies they have a challenge ahead of them until they get use to the speed of the game at the NAHL level. It is much faster then what they are use to playing, but they have a good group of players that will mix well in the league cant wait for the showcase.

Though Green shouldn't really need much adjustment, the BCHL is easily as fast, and a bit more physical than the NAHL. The real measuring stick should be on the 18th against Wenatchee.

All the games should be quality games. The fastest player in the league is on Owatonna - Chris Bournazos. North Iowa has alot of vets and Coach Strout added Speed to his team this year where he was lacking. Your right the Wenatchee Team has excelled for 2 years now. If our big D can slow them down at the blue line and punish them on there way to the front of the net that will be huge for the Falcons.
