Maybe KMG can re-build that Arena down in Kimball. We need to keep the Icehawks in Port Huron not Kimball

After 7-8 years of very little work, I'm surprised Kimball's Stonehenge is still standing. Whoever decides to finish it, wouldn't they be better off just clearing the land and starting over?

Good point. The simple truth is: They'd have to demolish it. That place has been condemned for seven years. As soon as those beams passed 6 months of being exposed without cover, they went out of building code. So, in essence, it would be cheaper for someone to buy different land and start from scratch in an empty field, rather than pay the cost to tear down what is in Kimball and start over.

All right TD, just for nostalgic purposes, fill me in on the Kimball Arena. All I know is it was an arena that never got finished. Also, the Authority has done a lot of damage to hockey PH w/ their vote. I hope they realize that not a lot of other "groups" are out there to that are going to continue hemorrhaging money. Very sad day.

Very sad day. The Kimball Arena is pretty much damaged from being exposed so long to the Michigan weather, I would expect it would have demolished and rebuilt but I'm not a construction man so don't quote me on that. The land as far as I know is still own by Dr. Afr (The old Border Cats Owner) there was that guy who was going to rebuild the arena and add a water park and 10 softball fields, etc. He knocked down a bunch of trees and that has been just about it nobody has heard from him sense. Dr. Afr's group said they never received an offer on the land either from him. So its safe to say he is pretty much out of the picture.
