what a piss poor game.
I can say this though, the beer vendors are a JOKE. Had one make up some bullsh*t about me tonight that i was harassing her, she had somebody come talk to me and tell me if i keep it up i'm banned for the season. what a crock of sh*t.
Heads up to everybody else, she might try that crap again on someone else.

my thoughts: Hat's off to the Prarie Thunder on a big win. Martin was UNBELIEVABLE in goal tonight. That was the best game I've seen a goaltender play in this league. EVER. PERIOD. That may be as good as I've ever seen a goaltender play anywehere - he was like a double wide trailer parked in front of the net. Port Huron outshot the PT like 49-24 and that is not a fluke stat bolstered by crummy shots from the blue line. Of the 49 shots PH had, I'd have to guess at LEAST 25 were quality scoring chances. Rebounds, tips, point blank shots, breakaway's, one-timer's, etc......it didn't matter, they all were being turned away repeatedly. I know they gave the #1 star to Bagron for the Hattrick, but that's a load of crap. The only thing that bugged me about it was a little bit of the "J.S. Giguere effect", as I like to call it. Take nothing away from Martin, because it was all skill for him to get into position, but it seemed like his equipment was so hugely oversized, there was no chance of a puck getting by. I mean, why not just let a team tack a piece of ply-wood across the net? Of course, that's just me venting. It's tough to watch your team create as much offense as the Hawks did and be turned away again and again. That's why I've got to say hat's off to Martin. Anyone that can play that well positionally and get to that many pucks has to have something going right. If he's not "goalie of the week" for that performance alone, I say boycott the IHL weekly awards, because that would lead me to believe they're worthless.
Bloomington's offense did what it needed to do. They took advantage of opportunities and bad turnover's by the Icehawks. The last goal Larry let in was absolutely terrible and the 4th goal wasn't very good either. But, the first three were all great plays by the PT and with the way Martin was playing, anything else didn't really matter.
This could be a very good series the rest of the season.
I know it's frustrating when your team loses, but if the Icehawks can repeat tonight's offensive efforts (efforts, not results) 10 games in a row, they'll win 9 of them.

The PT are for real... They are definetely more physical than the Hawks. They have good size and toughness ths year..This win was no fluke. If Martin plays half that good they will be in contention. Thank you Larry for another superb game!

Thank you Larry for another superb game! Yeah, Larry choked on the last 2 goals, but it doesn't really matter if Martin is going to play like that. We still would've lost. I don't think you'll see the type of goaltending Bloomy was able to get last night at this level game in and game out.
