time to start another home and win streak...
my first game since the star wars game. i hope we dont go into another stinking shoot out. yeah it builds excitement but i would rather just have the mallards receive a good old fashion shellacking with the game put away in say the beginning of the 2nd stanza...
after the recent implosions weve self inflicted upon ourselves, im just about emotionally spent...
oh well, my daughter and i get to enjoy our custom of a couple of coneys across the street before the game and then an evening without the tv or computer interfering...

here we go again the first period was pretty good looking. we took it to them but i guess during the intermission they decided to sit back and hope their lead would hold. uh, no guys. you have to play for SIXTY minutes... 2 more behind muskegon and 2 less ahead of fort wayne...

This game was a good example of playing the right way and also playing the wrong way. As most of you saw in the first period, the guys were playing hard, charging the puck, crashing the net, making good passes and we got up on the board. This is what playing right is for those that didn't understand what it meant. Now the last half of the game is what happens when you don't play right. Making bad passes, having no puck control and pretty much tripping on yourself. Some players were trying to compensate for others making them try too hard and faltering in the process. This is why playing the right way requires a group effort. As I said before this team is like an engine. You gotta have all cylinders and spark plugs running in harmony to get the best performance. If one piece of that engine isn't working properly, then you are going to lose that performance and start to fail. That's exactly what happened tonight. They need to find a way to get cylinders running together and for the whole game, not just half of it.

i have to disagree with you on this point. especially in the first 5-8 minutes of the 2nd period. you couldnt ASK for better passes...
if 7 passes in a row to the tape of YOUR OPPONENTS STICK! constitutes a good pass and puck control...
that was sickening...
we dont have to worry about fort wayne CATCHING us, at this rate were going to pass them on the way to the bottom...

Ok your post makes no sense at all. You pretty much just said you don't agree with my part about making bad passes, then you turn around and pretty much just repeated what I said.

Our physical play was a big "ZERO". I saw more checking and hitting watching the womens olmypic game between USA and Canada. I can understand after watching this team for the last month why we are going backwards.

sarcasm. its an acquired talent... So is logic. Since when can sarcasm be expressed in emotionless text?? Perhaps try using one of those colorful things at the top of the text box next time when you want to show some sort of expression. Oh in case you didn't know they are called smileys.
