im glad it wasnt ME who said wede lose TWO games this weekend ;D
another pretty good game. not as big a spread as last night but 2 points is 2 stinking points!
of course it helps when the generals beat the komets...
some observations (of which we pretty much everyone knows)
robin is a bigger possy than cindy crosby. EVERYTIME he got hit, he looked for a call...
krug is a REAL tough guy when hes wearing a Pee Wee hockey face cage...
the icehawks can win when they play right (i just couldnt resist guys!)

Yup, Bouchard gets touched, he whines for 5 seconds. Classic Bouchard, though. Tetrault had a couple great hits, but the one in the 2nd he stood there admiring the hit and let Musky come back with the odd man rush for the goal. Not smart. I know I'm a broken record by now, but another worthless performance from Lovell, although I will say Turner wasn't as bad tonight. I also don't understand why Gershon doesn't play more, another solid performance by him tonight.

Boy Larry sure got lucky a couple of times in the 2nd...
First he came out to the right faceoff circle to play the all by his lonesome and he passed it right to a muskyforward who thankfully shot it wide...
Then the stand up pad save where he left the rebound out in space. I don't know which icehawk swept the puck out of th GAPING WIDE goal mouth but those two mistakes could have been the game...
Okay, rant over. The Daughter unit wants me to get tickets for friday so I guess ill see if I can work some overtime for a few more sheckels...

Awseome game! Yes, Larry did have a few blunders, but thought he played an outstanding game otherwise. Had a great glove hand last night, and that kick save along the ice with like only a minute or so left saved the game. What a nail biter! Once again, LOVED watching DOUCH get rocked. Seemed like Tetrault, Kalenecki, or Gershon we blanketing him all night. Seemed so anyway. Great hustle and work ethic, Hawks definitely had a jump in their step this weekend. Glad my 0-2 weekend prediction was wrong...Slowly acquiring the taste of crow LOL.

When Bedard plays at the top of his game we are close to unbeatable. I mean he put up an amazing weekend should easily win player of the week. Lindberg also stepped his game up this weekend to.

Was good to see Auffrey in front of the net and getting rewarded. Kid was headed for a trick before he got hurt. Hope he is not out long. We could have ran away with this game, but got a little lacks in the 2nd. Overall strong performance. Also was good to see McMorran filled up with a crowd. Not sure what was said and or done over the last two games but what a different team. Lets hope it stays this way. I may have to eat my share of crow also for ripping on the Coaches ability to coach.

Big weekend of hockey for Hawks. I think this was the most exciting brand of hockey they have played all season. Nice to have that big crowd there to watch. Nice to see Lindberg have a great weekend... He finally skated with speed and a desire to be in the play again. It looks like we may have got the better of the trade also. The new guys are big bodies and have instantly contributed this weekend. Again the big question is can we keep it up... or do we fall back into a funk again.

This goes for all of our guys. Remember how everyone says we need a Strong enforcer?? We don't need one when everyone steps up as you can see, everyone stepped up and those goons from Musky got pounced on.

Have to disagree junkie. While it is great our guys stick together and step up for one another, we do not have that one guy in our lineup that strikes fear in the eyes of our opponents. That guy that you know you'll be answering to if you cross the line. Our skilled players take way too much abuse out there, and if we had a TRUE enforcer or two, it would be a much different story. Ask Bedard and Lardner, I'm sure they'll be the first to tell you. I'm not just talking a "goon". Someone like Snowball for example, who can play as well. I haven't seen us "pounce on" anyone in a fight in a long time. Just wrestling matches at best.

Bedard can freaking play a top level and when he is on hes a top 3 player in this league IMO. When Bedard is slumping this whole team is slumping when he is going the team is winning. Its unfortunely the truth we have nobody else stepping up when Bedard is slumping. Though like people have said Lindy has decided to show up now. I mean just take one look at the Icehawks stats and besides Patrosso its The Port Huron Bedards.
