D'orso did a fabulous job last night but you HAVE to start the guy who got you there...
there could be up to 8 games (assuming we sweep ft wayne and then muskeflint)...
you could rest Larry a game or two and if it doesnt look good, bring him in as needed...

No brainer here. Although D'Orso looked very sharp, he doesn't have enough experience at this level to be thrown into a starting role, especially at playoff time. I say start Sterling, and see what happens. His job to lose. If he's not sharp, pull him.

You gotta go with the guy you know for sure you can count on which is Sterls. D'Orso has however shown he is up to the task, but that was against Bloomington. I'm sure he will see a game against the Komets though, especially if we get off to a fast start against them. I was real impressed with his play against the PT though. He made some spectacular saves, but if i were making the call, Sterls would get the go ahead nod.

OK.....Sterling is good don't get me wrong. But Larry isnt the same guy from 2 years ago. It takes 2 seconds for someone or something to get in Larrys head. I would take my chances and play D'Orso on the road. Frt Wayne fans will get into Larrys head before the drop of the puck. In order for this team to move forward, they cant be looking through the rear-view mirror. And it all starts with Drulia.

2 years ago Sterling had a few big defencemen like Merlini and Adams that would move some people in front of the net and was facing 40 plus shots every game. No matter who plays goal and initially i think it should be Sterling however it is good to know the other guy can be called on,they will have lots to do behind this defence.

You got a good point, maybe to throw the Komets off, D'Orso could start in game one just because he hasn't had to deal with Komets fans yet and he could be immune to their useless banter. Sterls seems to do pretty good lately on home ice, so maybe split it up that way. Typically though I would go with the Vet, but you may have something there with this situation.
