Sounds like we may get a Junior team but i've kind of thought about it what about a AAHL team. I mean both are pretty bad in there own ways. In the NAHL you get pretty poor hockey from guys who probably more then likely not going to make it. Yet you get to see young kids go out and try to make it and possibly end up doing something yet. AAHL you get bums who will never ever make it yet you get some guys playing hard and some defiant fights that Port Huron loves. Either team is not going to draw fans so as die hards what would you rather see?

cockroach racing... the IHL talent pool wasnt the greatest but it was decent hockey. i wouldnt want to PAY to see a lesser caliber of game.... just me... on a SIDE NOTE, the Away Sweater that was ordered for me in february for my birthday finally came in. jim went upstairs and got a brand new one from the 'stash' and had my name and number applied. too bad its worthless now...

Either team is not going to draw fans so as die hards what would you rather see? I'm not quite sure, in one of the other threads, someone posted a pretty lengthy list of players in the big show who played in the NAHL. That to me is good enough to want to watch possible prospects. Jack Campbell also played int he NAHL and is now rated in the top 10 for the NHL draft. Many of these kids don't go directly into the NHL, but it gets them up. Its more of a developmental league than of what the IHL/UHL was. At least these kids still have something to shoot for instead of guys who are past their prime. Sure it's not the OHL, but many of the players who are in the OHL also came from this league. Jack Campbell is gonna be playing for the Spitfires this coming season. Not to mention that there is expected to be around 25 teams in the league. That's better than the same 6 teams in the IHL. At least it will provide some variety.
