Okay guys and gals.....another update....Not much to report, I ended up in the ER last Saturday with the constipation again. I've started taking fiber, which seems to be helping, and one of the pills that the oncologist gave me. I go see her tomorrow, will update more then. Thanks all, I appreciate everything

Okay guys and gals....another update, I went to the oncologist's yesterday, nothing knew to report. Had to go to Beaumont Troy for a CAT SCAN, because I would have had to wait too long to get one on the Royal Oak one. I was planning on going in next Sunday for my next round of chemo, but there's a problem, the drug company that manufacters one of my chemo drugs isn't making enough, and there's a nationwide shortage. All the company doesn't plan on making anymore that they already are, stupid frickin' companies.
I'm currently working the Roof Sit, for the CAN council here in Port Huron, the program director for the local country station here lives on the roof on the Birchwood Mall, our local mall, for a week, to raise awareness against child abuse.
It has been going on for 14 years, and I've usually had a job and had been working, but with being on disability, I can do it know. My sister has to work all the week, she usually works it, so I decided what the heck. Although the getting up at 4:30 a.m. is kinda hard, but I can come back home afterwords, and get a nap, so it's okay.
I'll update the thread again when I know more, thanks for all the support. Besides it's my b-day, what a way to spend your birthday, doesn't matter to me. I'm glad to help.

Okay guys and gals, another update.........I called the doctor's office yesterday and asked about my appt and going into the hospital for my next round, and had to call back today, because the doctor is really, really busy. I have a(n) appt next Tuesday, the 30th, that is when the chemo drug that has had a nationwide shortage on, will be available at the hospital. So that's what's up for now. I'll update later when I know more. Thanks all for the support and wishes, I do appreciate them blroth

Okay guys and gals, time for another update......Well so much for the plans about having a 4th round of chemo. The chemo drug that I need Streptozocin or something, STILL isn't available, so instead of staying yesterday for the round of chemo like I was expecting, I came home. The oncologist isn't going to have a confernce with the tumor board, and with the new liver transplant surgeant, to see if they could do the transplant instead of waiting for the drug to become available, aparently it's on backorder and the company that manufactures it, isn't. This means that I will probably miss some of my HAWKS games, which sucks, hopefully it won't be too many. I plan on being at the home opener, and besides this year I can go to Training Camp, which I would rather miss that miss my 'real' hockey games, oh well, what can you do? Well I'll let you guys and gals know more when I know more. Thanks for the support and good wishes, I do appreciate them blroth(aka - Becky)

Okay guys and gals, update time!!....The oncologist had the meeting with the tumor board, and they decided that I wouldn't need the liver transplant, instead they plan on freezing the 4 or 5 spots on MY liver, and taking them out. Which works for me, in the end I'll probably have 1/2 of my liver left, which is okay, they rejenerate. The tumor that is on/near my aorta isn't serious, it's not in a spot that it can do any harm, so they're not worried about it right now. The tumor that it is in my intestions is the one that they are worried about, it's 10 or so inches long, so from what I remember her, my oncologist tellling me, they will take out surgically while they are removing the other tumors. My oncologist told the pancreas and liver specialist, to not count me out, I'm okay with having the liver transplant if needed, but would be happier not having it done. I'm in pretty good health, except for the cancer. So that's why there are doing this instead. She, my oncologist, told me that as they do CAT SCANS, they can see in better detail where the tumors are. So I guess all the CAT SCANS that I have been getting are worth something. Just wanted to update everyone. That's all I know for now. I have a(n) appt with the pancreas and liver specialist on next Monday. So I'll update this thread after then. Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes, I do appreciate them blroth(aka-Becky)

Okay guys and gals, time for another update....I saw Dr. Koffer, the pancreatic and liver specialist today, and the surgeon that performed my ovary removal. At this time, they don't know what they are going to do. They plan on freezing the tumors in my liver, and this time. As for the 10-inch tumor in my bowels, they don't know what they are going to do with it and this time. They plan on doing a(n) antiogram(sp) to see where the blood vessels are in the tumor, and deceded from there. They, the pancreatic and liver specialist, my oncologist and the surgeon are going to a tumor council on Monday. They will call me next Monday to tell me what they have decided. One of the plans might be doing more higher strength chemo to shrink the tumor, which would suck, because I worry I could lost my hair. And I wouldn't need to lose weight, because I would probably lose my appetite. The surgeon told me to stop thinking, he could see the gears in my head working. I just don't want to lose my hair, I'm okay with everything else, but I'm a girly-girl when it comes to my hair. I LIKE HAVING HAIR!!!!But I'll do whatever they want as long as I know what's going on. That's the update for now. Thanks for all the good wishes and good thoughts, I do appreciate them Becky(aka-blroth)

Okay guys and gals, time for another update.....Went to the oncologist's today, and good news. I'm antisystematic, which is good news, I'm not suffering any side effects from my chemo and cancer, which is good.
They're planning on monitoring me, I'll have doctor's appt s every 3 months, and CAT SCANS and some other test every 6 months, so that works out for me.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers, I do appreciate them
