Legendary actor and star of the '70s comedy "Slap Shot" Paul Newman passed away Friday at 83 due to lung cancer. He will be sadly missed. Starred in over 50 films over the years, including his lead role as Reggie Dunlop in Slap Shot, the best hockey film ever! Rest in peace Paul...

I heard he was sick awhile ago. What a great actor, he had some very memorable roles in some classic movies (Slapshot, Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, The Sting, The Hustler, Cool Hand Luke, etc.). One of my favorite actors.
RIP.

R.I.P. Paul.
Maybe my favorite actor of all time. The world is a little emptier without player/coach Reggie Dunlop in it.
